About Destiny's Child The band was formed by Beyoncé and kelly Rowland her cousin and 2 of they're classmates. The band didn't come up with the name Destiny's child right away , they faced some name and line up difficulty's. The bands first name was Girls Tyme but they changed the name of the band before they published they're first album . For the first 2 albums that Destiny's Child published the band members were 4 ; Beyoncé Knowles , Kelly Rowland and the 2 classmates LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Robinson. ( as seen on the picture to the left ). In 2000 Michele Williams joined the group replacing LeToya and LaTavia, after Michelle joined the group they published 4 albums. Destiny's child has had many singers and backup singers and background singers. As you can see on the chart below. But the main singers in the group were : * Beyoncé Knowles - Lead vocalist * Kelly Rowland - Second lead vocalist * Michelle Williams - Third lead vocalist. Tours and awards The final-lineup of the group have held 3 tours , The platinum's on the wall tour (2001) , The Destiny's Child World tour (2003) and Destiny's Child : Live in Atlanta (2005) Destiny's Child is second on the list of best selling girl groups with 60 million sold albums. And they also have 2 albums on the list of best selling girl group albums with '' The writing on the wall '' with over 12 million copy's sold and '' Survivor '' with over 10 million copy's sold. The group have won total 154 awards.
